Who does not want healthy hair and also grow faster? Yes, I can not think of anyone either. But with all the labels of “long and strong” and “hair growth” that we see in supermarkets, how can we know what we should put in our hair? One way to do that would be to choose products that are free of harmful chemicals, or better yet, you could make your own products at home.

Natural treatments for hair growth can be very beneficial, especially when using ingredients such as henna. Next, we have put together a list of recipes for the treatment of hair growth with henna, but first, let’s see how henna helps stimulate hair growth.

Benefits of henna for hair growth

Maintains the health of the scalp

Henna can be quite refreshing to the scalp. This, in combination with its antimicrobial properties, helps maintain the health of the scalp. Helps fight scalp conditions such as dandruff, itching, and dryness.

Balances oil production and ph levels

Henna not only keeps problems like dandruff at bay, it is also an excellent ingredient to balance the production of oil and the pH of your scalp. Eliminates excess oil from your hair, which helps to unclog the follicles and also to restore the normal functioning of the sebaceous glands.

Increases hair growth and stops hair loss

Increased scalp health, unclogging of pores and balanced pH levels slow hair loss and promote healthy hair growth. Henna will not only help your hair grow faster, but it will also improve the texture of the hair.

Repairs and strengthens the hair

The nutrients in henna help nourish your hair while also repairing the damage. The balance of pH levels also helps seal the hair cuticle, which results in stronger, brighter and healthier hair. This helps to improve the elasticity of the hair.

Improves hair conditions

Henna builds a protective barrier around each of the stems of your hair, retaining moisture and keeping your hair conditioned. It can be especially beneficial when used in hair masks in combination with other moisturizing ingredients. Henna helps minimize problems such as broken hair and split ends.

Side effects and precautions of henna

It is crucial to make sure that the henna you are using is 100% organic. This is because most henna powders available in the market include aggressive chemicals such as PPD to improve color results. These chemicals can cause problems such as allergies, extra dry hair, among others.
